More socks and yet another monkey!

Last night Kelsey wanted to cuddle up to a sock monkey to go to sleep, but she was a bit worried that it would spoil her monkey because of the embellishments on it so I gave her the first one I made to take with her to bed. I decided to make her another one for every day use. I think it turned out quite well and didn't take me half as long so I must be getting better at making them ;)
I bought some new socks while I was out this morning and I came across some very cute monkey ones so I bought 3 pairs! Might even go back to the shop and buy the rest tomorrow because I have a feeling my family are all going to be wanting one of those ♥

Lucia's amazing sock monkey!

I am so proud (and slightly envious) of this brilliant sock monkey that Lucia made on her first ever attempt at making one. It's adorable and I want it! Clever girl Lulu ♥
Here she is ;)

Bikini Bella ♥

A sad day :(

I took mum to the vet's today to have her little cat Holly put to sleep. She had a massive tumour and it was time for her to go. Mum came to mine for tea and Lucia managed to cheer her up by making her very first sock monkey. Anyone who knows who Nora Batty was will appreciate this. The socks are just one colour .......pink......and when Lucia had stuffed its legs mum and I couldn't stop laughing because it looked just like Nora Batty with her wrinkled lumpy stockings. It did mum good to have a little laugh on such a sad day. Anyway wait 'till you see Lucia's monkey. Suffice it to say that I am going to be shown up as it is amazing!
The little monkey that Lian made for me now has eyes and has been introduced to her new owner....me! I have also finished the stripey monkey at last so here they both are :)

A nice surprise

Had a visit from my son Mario and his Fiancee Lian and Lian had made me a gift of................you guessed it.................................a sock monkey. I didn't even know she could sew. I love her thanks Lian :)
Here she is and Lian said she didn't put any eyes on her because she wanted her owner to be the first person she saw Ahhhhhh ♥

She also brought me another pair of socks for my collection

Socks, socks and more socks!

I have suddenly developed a sock fetish! Everywhere I go now I head straight for the sock display and cannot resist buying a pair or two. I've even got mum buying them! Here is a sample of what I mean ;)
I started making a new sock monkey yesterday but got fed up with it. This doesn't bode well in my quest for a sock monkey empire! I will get it finished..................;)

Another sock monkey to crochet!

This is a very good collection of how to videos. Another one that I am going to attempt!

Baby sock monkey crochet pattern

Oh how sweet is this? A baby crocheted sock monkey. I taught myself to crochet years ago so I may have a go at this one as well. Gosh I'm going to busy!

Sock monkey knitted hat

Searching the net for anything to do with sock monkeys and I came across this fabulous pattern to knit a sock monkey hat. I will definitely be having a go at this one for someone's Christmas present. Not sure who yet though ;) Love it!

My third sock monkey

I made this one with a pair of my God daughter Ermelinda's socks. She goes to ballet classes so I think she'll like this. She's a bit pink!

Second sock monkey

This is my second attempt. A bit better but he's very cheeky!

My very first sock monkey

This is my first ever sock monkey. I think he looks a bit like Homer Simpson lol. Not too bad for a first attempt. I WILL get better! ;)

Now for the next one x
